Definitely you want to preview the video before it's downloading to ensure that the video that you're being downloading is correct one and the quality is good. But most of the downloading sites such as mediafire or megaupload, doesn't allow you to preview the video or anything. It's also a waste of time to preview the file first then downloading, from sites like youtube. I have some solutions for you to play the videos while downloading from any site on your android phone .
Videos From Youtube
Most probably you download videos on your android from youtube.com using any of the software's like Tubemate. By default, Tubemate doesn't allow you to watch corresponding video while downloading (from the downloaded data). But follow the simple instructions to play it.
Generally Tubemate uses fast downloading mode which uses multi connections for a download to boost speed. We need to disable this option from the preferences.
1. Open Tubemate, touch menu button and Preferences. Uncheck Fast Download Mode
2. Scroll down and find Download folder (for both video and Mp3) under storage. Choose any folder on your memory card. Example: /sdcard/youtube/
3. You're almost done!.From now onward, the video that you're downloading using Tubemate will be listed in the selected folder and can be played as the download progresses.
Videos From Any other sites
Similarly you can play videos or music that are being downloaded from any website just by using download managers like Xwind download manager.
Using xwind download manager.
Here, you're not required to change any settings. All you have to do is, download and install the app and goto download directory and watch the video.
1. Install Xwind download manager from Android market.
2. Start a download using xwind. (If you're unable to start download in xwind downloader, just copy the link url and add the downlaod to xwind.)
3. Go to File Manager > /sdcard/surefan/temp. There should be the downloading video(s). Play It!
