6 Tips to Improve HTC Sensation Battery Life

As the name indicates, it's a sensational android mobile phone with dual core 1.2 GHz Scorpion processor, can beat even the Samsung Galaxy SII in terms of processing power  and display resolution. The handset got a large super LCD display which is ideal for watching HD videos. But, when it comes to battery life, these plus points are  become somewhat reduces the battery life as it only last for a day with 1520 mAh Li-ion battery. although the battery life depends on the usage characteristics, we can boost the battery life by keeping some important points as in the case of any android phone. Here's the best tips to make your HTC sensation alive even after 7 PM.

HTC Sensation Battery life Tip#1:

Turn Off Bluetooth GPS and WiFi : Sensors and transceivers conserve fair amount of battery in a smart phone. The best practice to avoid unnecessary battery drain is to turn off bluetooth, GPS and WiFi while they are not in use.

Tip#2:
Lower LCD backlit brightness: The HTC sensation got a 4.3 inch giant screen with brilliant resolution. So long use will drain the battery as fast. When you use the phone for a long time for texting or running similar apps, you can alter the back-lit brightness to a low value. the screen will look dim but this'll give a few more vital minutes. This option can be found from Settings > Display.

Tip#3:
Control apps running in background: Battery life is also related with the CPU usage which is a proportion of running apps in the background even if the phone is ideal. The best way to find and stop thse applications is to use "Advanced Task killer" or similar android apps. ATK can be freely downloaded from android market which can be used to analyse all programs which are running and we can simply stop them by a single click.

Note: The excessive use of task killing programs will affect your device battery life in a negative way. Never use apps like 'ATK' constantly because all apps in the background are not responsible for battery drain. if you're constantly try to force that application to stop, it'll cause the OS to restart them and it'll decrease the phone's performance.

Tip#4:
Turn Autosync OFF: After you setting up an email account using the android phone, data transfer take place without informing you by apps like Gmail. If you're not aware of notifying about emails or updates from social networking sites like facebook right on time, you should turn off autosync under Settings > Accounts and sync > check 'synchronous manually when necessary'.

Tip#5
Deactivate Always-on mobile data: If you're not a social networking guy, you can turn this feature off. Note that, internet through 3G/4G, gprs or Edge will squeeze the battery life more than WiFi.

Tip#6

I have HTC sensation phone and I downloaded juice defender. It works perfectly fine. I am saving around 20-35 % of the battery life. It can now last for a whole day with moderate use.
