Corning Gorilla Glass 2 Review and Testing

Mobile phone display's are getting bigger and bigger manufacturer's need them to protect from scratch and accidental damage as bigger sizes costs big. Corning Gorilla Glass is used by 500 plus manufacturers to protect more than 500 million sophisticated electronic devices such as Smartphones, Laptops, Tablets,  portable media players etc from damage. For your information,Gorilla glass is a special kind of alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass processed to be thinner than usual glasses and damage resistant. Corning demonstrated and tested the latest Gorilla Glass 2 at Consumer Electronic Show 2012, showing that it is 20% more thinner but can withstand more stress than the older.




This durable glass is the outer layer of the touch screen display and the new Samsung Galaxy Note is protected by Gorilla Glass 2. Asus announced that they'll use gorilla glass for their devices in 2012. However Corning says "glass is  glass, still you can break it but gorilla glass will perform better than other products that you find in the market today". Also note that, Gorilla Glass 2 will provide brighter images images, better images and better touch sensitivity.
