Adam Tab 2 Coming soon With TI Chips

Notion Ink Design Labs announced their second version of their Adam tablet earlier in this week. The previous version released in 2010 was not a successful one but the company is going to launch Adam II by completely redesigning the hardware and software of Adam 1.

Instead of the NVIDIA TEGRA chip that powers up the previous version, Adam 2 will have a chip from Texas Instruments (TI). The tablet will run a customized version of Android 4.0 or Ice cream sandwich. The company promising some unique features in Adam II has been missed by popular tablets on the present market.

The processor will be the TI OMAP44xx for this device, hence the company ensures an improved performance from this tab along with Power VR SG5xx GPU charges up the graphic performance. The results of using these chips will be better performance and less power usage. The software architecture will be from Notion Ink itself as they promises to give features that ordinary tabs misses today. Their system design will reshape the device to a logic analyser, medical imaging equipment, digital signal processor, 3D modelling device etc.

All connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM are included in TI Wi-Link 7.0 chipset. There will be audio power amplifiers for this model to enhance the sounding.

Notion ink is keeping silence about the price and release date of the product implies we have to wait for the news.
