Well after installing the web camera drivers, you may want to install a web cam suite application to take pictures. But if you don't want to download or install such things, to simply check your web cam, you can take a snap from my windows explorer itself, means you don't need to install any software suits to take a shot (except web cam drivers).
Follow these simple steps :
To do this open my computer after installing drivers. You should notice your webcam listed under scanners and camera section. Right click on the icon and select Get Pictures.
Now a window should open says scanner and camera wizard (as shown in the above picture) . Press Next and you will get a screen where you can preview the camera and Take pictures. Your taken snaps should loaded to pictures section on the right side. After taking images, check those you want to save and click next.
Choose a location to save selected pictures and click next. Check delete pictures from my device after copying them if your web cam has its own memory(optional). Then press next and follow the self explained steps to complete capturing.
