Avoid starting delay while using MS word 2003 and 2007 together

If you have multiple versions of Microsoft office installed on the same computer, you may experience a starting delay while executing ms word 2007. This is because the ms word auto register itself on the computer before starting. this process may annoying if you are busy doing things and must be avoided.

You can bypass the auto registration of ms office by adding a DWORD key into windows registry. This makes word 2007 to start faster.

To bypass the auto registration:
  1. Start registry editor by clicking start, click Run, type regedit and press enter
  2. Locate and select the following registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options
  3. Point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD Value
  4. Enter name as NoReReg and hit enter. 
  5. Right-click NoReReg, and then click Modify. 
  6. Enter 1 in the value data box.
  7. Exit Registry editor
