As per the latest report from Strategy Analytics, Inc., a global research and consulting firm, Samsung ousts Nokia as the leader in selling most number of handsets in India. The domination of Nokia in the mobile handset market for over 14 years is came to to an end. According to their reports, Samsung sold over 935 lakh mobile handsets worldwide only in the first quarter of 2012 while Nokia are about 827 lakh . Out of this Samsung sold 445 lakh smartphone. Samsung got their record profit $520 crore during this business period.
An interesting fact is that the newest version of Samsung Galaxy S series (SIII) is about to launch in may 3rd. The galaxy S3 will be powered with a quad-core processor which is the only clue to its specification.
