Calibre is a free and open source E-book library management software. This software is created by some ebook users for ebook users. This popular application can be used to convert ebooks from one format to other, sync with ebook reader devices etc. Here's the simple steps required to convert a basic pdf file to an ebook which can be used in ipad or tablet.
1. Open calibre
2. Drag and drop your pdf file to application file area.
3. Right click on the item and select Edit metadata > Edit metadata individually. In the new window you can customize the title, authors, cover image etc to your choice or you can create your own cover page for the ebook.. Click OK to save changes.
4. Right click again on the pdf file and select Conver books > Convert individually. Make sure that the output format selected is epub. Click OK. Done! your ebook in epub format has been generated..
