How to Configure Aircel Pocket Internet On Mobile

This post describes the way to connect aircel gprs pocket internet on mobile. Here I taken sony ericsson K510i as the standard. All  connectivity options are quite similar in other handsets like Nokia, Samsung, LG ,Onida etc.

To configure aircel gprs internet on mobile, you have to enable the pocket internet on your Sim card. To do this send GPRS to 121. You may get settings soon followed by an alert message. If you haven't received the settings, then you can try manually enter the pocket internet settings in your handset.

In a Sony Ericsson mobile :

STEP : 1

1. Goto main menu >> Settings >> Connectivity >> Data Communication >> Data accounts
2. Click New account to craete a new settings. Select GPRS data.
3.  Connection Name: Pocket Internet
     Access Point Name(APN): aircelwap
Do not configure any other options.
4. After entering these elements, hit save.

STEP : 2

1. Goto main menu >> Settings >> Connectivity >>Internet Settings >> Internet profiles
2. Click New profile to create a new profile.
3. Enter name something like aircel.. or pocket internet.
4.  Select Connect using >> Select the Data account that you created in Step1 (Pocket Internet)
5. Select Use proxy - yes. Put proxy address 192.168.035.201
    Port number : 8081
6. Press save .. you're almost done.
7. If you want to access pocket internet home page : select the internet profile, press More >> Advanced >> Change home page >> Put the Pocket Internet Home page Address: http://aircelthrills/operator/aircelwap/

5. Press Save. You're done!
