The student version of the smartly priced akash tablet computer - Akash 1 has now sold out. But you can now pre-book online commercial version of Aakash tablet, known as Ubislate 7 which will be available on late January 2012. Just fill your name and required informations and you'll get a booking ID sent to your email address.. When the tab is ready to be delivered, you'll get a confirmation call and email from the support . Note that it'll take about one week for the tab to be delivered to you..The payments will be based on cash on delivery (COD) system.
Actually Akash tab 2 or Ubislate 7 is an upgraded version of basic Akash Tab. The major difference is that the later has increased connectivity feature like GPRS and battery backup upto 5 hours. Also the Ubislate 7 grabbed the gingerbread version of android. Here's the basic differences in specifications of Akash tab student version and Ubislate 7.

Its not really worth to spend on Aakash tab its one of the worst Tab I have seen, Please note if you want your money to go down the drain its upto you , I have a bad experience and I dont want you to suffer.

I'm beginning to doubt if this prebooking system were all just a mere means of fraud and corruption.When the customers are high in Expectations it may not even come upto the mark we hope for.
But time will tell its own story.

Its a scam, till now No single Ubislate delivered, then how the hell they said "sold out" (it should be booked) message in their website.
i got a call and i have tranferred the cash to the acct. i'll be getting tab by next wednesday soon u guys will also get it
