Google cloud print is a free Google service based on cloud computing theory to share your printer online for those you selected from the applications you use everyday. It can print your emails, documents of almost all formats - pdf, doc, docx etc from any mobile phone or computer that connected to internet. The advantage is that you dont need any additional printer drivers or hardware to use this service. However google chrome browser can help you to easily use this service via a free extension called Print Using Google Cloud Print™. Here's a short guide to how to use this extension.
1. First you have to install the extension from here. To print a file Just open the file from the browser that you want to print that ends up with an extension like pdf/doc/txt/jpg/jpeg.
2. Click on the extension icon that appears on the right side of the address bar. For the first time, you'll be prompted to register for cloud print and add a printer. If you've a cloud ready printer or basic printer that you have. (Note that, even though the basic printers can use to print via Google cloud print, its better to have a cloud ready printer since they can directly connect to internet and register themselves without a PC or laptop.) Follow the simple steps to complete connecting a classic or cloud ready printer to the service.
3. You're almost done. Just click print and the file will be printed immediately if the printer is not busy. You can go to www.google.com/cloudprint/ to view and manage your print jobs.
4. You can print emails and email attachments by clicking “Print using Google Cloud Print” link appearing near to the email/attachment file.
