Fix .exe Files open with other programs like Notepad

Technology geeks will always have problems on their computers as they're the real users of the system. They'll play with advanced settings and control panel rather than just messing with the music or movies and internet.  One of the most common but annoying problem in such a kind is that the exe files in our system does not open in normal way. When you double click on exe file to open it, it may cause opening other programs like notepad but the actual program will not run. This may be due to virus attacks or by accidentally re-assigning the program using 'Open With' feature.

How to Sync Subtitles of Movies in KMPlayer

KMPlayer is one of my favorite video players since it has the simple user interface as well as 3D capabilities.  It supports almost all media formats. Most of us require subtitles while watching movies in other languages. However most media player support subtitles, I use VLC media player and KMPlayer for watching videos with subtitles. In either case, some subtitles that you've downloaded from internet may not be synchronized with the video file. This makes audio either lagging or leading the subtitle making it no use. to correct this issue we have options in re-syncing the subtitle texts to audio in both VLC and KMPlayer.

Run Debug & MASM in Windows 7 , 64Bit (x64)

MASM and debug are great tools for students to assemble 8086 based codes using a windows based system. usually debug can be accessed in a windows computer simply typing 'DEBUG'in command prompt and MASM needs to be installed separately. But the story is different for Windows 7 x64 or 64 bit version. These programs are not available for this windows version. But using a simple technique using a software called DOSBox, you can run these Debugging tools in 64 bit versions of Windows.

Show Task Bar Labels In Windows 7

In the earlier versions of windows, the programs or folders you opened were show up in the taskbar with a label exhibiting the name of the program or the folder etc. But in Windows 7, the taskbar is set to hide labels of opened threads and they're set to combine windows of same type. However the new system is opt for users who opens many programs and folders such that they wont clutter to make it difficult to pick the desired one. ie, more buttons can be placed in the taskbar simultaneously.

Play Subtitle .srt Files With Movie File

Most of us choose watching movies with subtitles. Many movies that we download from internet has subtitles merged with movie file (.avi, mkv, mpg, divx, mp4) so that no need for another subtitle files to be inserted. But in most cases, the movie may not have, subtitles included. so we should download appropriate subtitle file (generally with extension .srt) separately. You can get subtitle for any movies by simply a Google search {MOVIE NAME<space>srt subtitle}. You''ll get better results if the MOVIE NAME is replaced with the file name of the video file.

Reduce Image Size to 50KB or Less

In India, Certain websites including Government websites wont allow you to upload images greater than 50KB or 75KB in size while filling their application forms. But pictures taken from digital camera or scanner is usually 100 times greater than this size around 5MB to 7MB. Also thse big image size will cause problems when you want to attach images to emails, uploading to social networking websites like Facebook, Google Plus etc. It'll take lot of time and data to upload such pictures.
