On launching the new Apple iPhone 5, the company replaced the Google maps application that were previously was the default Maps application on iPhone, with the Maps developed by the company. Many bad reviews have came so far about Apple maps but it doesn't mean that the Apple Maps are entirely useless. There are some good points about the maps application on iOS 6.
Traffic pins :
The Apple maps have much more visibility and it displays traffic intensity without having problems even in the street level. The traffic pins feature let you know why the traffic is backed up and shares information's about accidents.
Turn-by-turn direction:
The voice turn-by-turn directions was only available in android phones by google maps. It was nnot there in the Google maps application in iPhone or iPad. But bu the arrival of Apple maps, it uses Tom-Tom car navigation companies technology to bring turn by turn direction on the map.
Yelp is added:
Yelp is an online service to find out food restaurants and shops easily. the New apple maps have Yelp integrated with the map application
