It's very happy to see that the gingerbread update for galaxy ace users in india supports local languages like Malayalam in stock browser. On factory version of galaxy ace android froyo Malayalam was not supported at all. Anyway it's nice update and Malayalam websites like manoramaonline.com are viewable without any fond issues.

hello. i have Galaxy Fit running Android Froyo. How can I do this update on my phone ?Thanks
I am sorry but to inform you that what you see in the screen shot is not unicode malayalam. It is just a css enabled latin font. It was available in froyo also. Check mathrubhumi.com and report back.
you were wrong. The updated galaxy ace supports any Malayalam websites as well as text messages in Malayalam.
Please post a screenshot of Mathrubhumi.com from the stock browser. I might be wrong as well. manorama.com cannot be shown as a proof of malayalam support.
More screenshots added.
Tomin. I have Galaxy Fit. How can I install this Malayalam Support?
Still no rendering support. I read somewhere else that Galaxy Ace Indian version supports Indic rendering from froyo onwards. Still at 2.3.4, there is no rendering . Thanks for the screenshots.
This font is not same to what we see in manorama mathrubhumi websites....
I hve galexy s 2...now malayalam not supporting in ma devicr...pls help me
Try this app to read any Malayalam Unicode Websites with good rendering. It's not 100% perfect but better than stock browser support for many sites. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jeesmon.apps.mlbrowser
